" I Heard a Rumour " is a song by the English girl group Bananarama from their fourth album Wow ! (1987). It was also featured in the 1987 comedy film Disorderlies (starring The Fat Boys) and included on its soundtrack. " I Heard a Rumour " peaked at number 14 in their native United Kingdom, and was one of their biggest singles in the United States, reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100. Bananarama - Venus (1986)

 " Venus " had been a part of Bananarama's repertoire for several years before they actually recorded it. The group's three members, Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward, had the idea of turning the song into a dance music tune, but they were met with resistance from their producers at the time, Steve Jolley and Tony Swain. Bananarama brought the idea to the production trio of Stock Aitken Waterman, and it became Bananarama's first collaboration with them.   Read more about the song

The original recording of " Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye " has been released in many collections of oldies songs and re-recorded by other groups. In February 1983, UK girl group Bananarama released the song as a single off their album Deep Sea Skiving . This version became a top ten hit in the United Kingdom (#5), but only a minor hit in the US (Billboard #101) later that year. Read more about the song
