" Hold Me Now " is a song composed and performed by Irish singer Johnny Logan. It became the winner of the 1987 Eurovision Song Contest. Logan had previously won with " What's Another Year? " in the 1980 Contest and would go on to write the winner of the 1992 Contest (" Why Me? " for Linda Martin for whom he had previously written " Terminal 3 " at the 1984 Contest). " Waiting in Vain " is a song written by reggae musician Bob Marley and recorded by Bob Marley & The Wailers, for his 1977 album Exodus. Released as a single, it hit number twenty-seven in the UK Singles Chart. The single was one of only a few of Marley's Island singles to feature a non-album B-Side, this being the song " Roots ", an outtake from the Rastaman Vibration sessions. This later appeared on the compilation Rebel Music and on Exodus (Deluxe Edition). The 1981 reissue of Waiting In Vain featured a megamix called Marley Mix Up Medley instead. " I.O.U. " is a song from 1983 by British musical group Freeez, their most successful hit. The song scored #2 in the UK Singles Chart earlier in 1983 before reaching the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the U.S., giving them their only chart-topping single on any chart in America. It then became the 20th best-selling single of 1983 in the United Kingdom. " I.O.U. " was used for the 1984 breakdance movie, Beat Street . The chorus is often erroneously sung by listeners as " A-E, A-E I-O-U and sometimes Y ", referring to the vowels of the alphabet. It is actually " A-E, A-E, I-O-U I sometimes cry " and " A-E, A-E, I-O-U I sometimes lie ". The music video for " I.O.U. "I'm Ready" is a song by the Canadian rock musician Bryan Adams. It was written by Adams and collaborator Jim Vallance. The song was first released in 1979, by Ian Lloyd (formerly of The Stories), on his solo album Goose Bumps. Vallance played the drums on this recording. In 1983 Adams himself recorded the song for his third album, Cuts Like a Knife, as a straightforward rock song with electric guitar and synthesizer. Adams co-produced his version with Bob Clearmountain, who also mixed it. The song became a hit for Adams in 1998, after its inclusion on his 1997 album MTV Unplugged . In 1992, the hard rock band Ugly Kid Joe included a cover of " Cat's in the Cradle " on their debut album America's Least Wanted . The cover was issued as a single in 1993 and peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100, the group's highest ever position on that chart. The song also peaked at number three on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart.
