"Born of Frustration" is a 1992 single by popular UK group James. It is the follow-up to 1991 hits "Sit Down" (which was a re-release of a 1989 single that flopped) and "Sound", which both peaked in the UK Top 10. This song is taken from the group's fourth album Seven and reached number 13 in the UK. The song was also a hit on US Alternative radio, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. It was the group's highest chart placement to that point, until Laid made it to #3 the following year. The song's use in an advertisement for the American hotel chain Westin Hotels would later help the band pay off a debt owed to their record company.

" Under the Bridge " is a song by American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, released on March 10, 1992  as the second single from the group's fifth studio album, Blood Sugar Sex Magik . Vocalist Anthony Kiedis wrote the lyrics to express feelings of loneliness and despondency, and to reflect on narcotics and their impact on his life. Kiedis initially did not feel " Under the Bridge " would fit into the Chili Peppers' repertoire and was reluctant to show it to his band mates until producer Rick Rubin implored him to do so.
