"Lessons in Love" was a single from the British band Level 42, released in 1986, from the album Running in the Family. It's one of the few singles from the band that broke into the Billboard Hot 100, where it reached no. 12 in 1987. It was also another hit for them in their native UK, where it reached no. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, their biggest hit there. It won fame in countries where Level 42 was little known, such as Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil, Indonesia and others. It is the first of five singles from their 1987 album, Running in the Family, and it made way for the success of other singles from the album.
