" Over My Shoulder " is a pop rock song by English supergroup Mike and The Mechanics. It was released in February 1995 as the first single from their album Beggar on a Beach of Gold . Sung by Paul Carrack, it was the most successful single from that album, peaking at No.12 on UK Singles Chart. Although it failed to crack the UK Top 10, the song became perhaps the band's biggest radio hit. Co-lead vocalist Paul Young, who was foremost on the single's artwork, played rhythm guitar on the track. Read more about the song

The song was remixed by house DJ Jason Nevins in 1997. His remix, originally a bootleg, was picked up for official release in 1997, and became a sleeper hit in 1998.
